LONGER DISTANCE WALKS COMING UP:

 5 – 6th August
DOVEDALE DIPPER – Peak District (15 miles) – August 6th.
The Dovedale Dipper is a 15 mile walking challenge in the Peak District.  It takes place on Sunday the 6th August but to make the most of the weekend we am going to do a walk of around 7 miles on Saturday 5th in the afternoon near Chatsworth House and then have a hearty dinner in preparation for the big walk on the Sunday!
The Dipper Challenge is run by the Matlock Rotary Club and all funds are going to the RNLI.  It costs £16 to Register and you can do this by going to http://www.matlockrotary.org.uk/
If you’d like to do both days book accommodation soon.  The start of the Challenge is in Hartington but there are many lovely villages and towns not too far away.
Car sharing is encouraged so anyone who would like to come, please let Elaine know and we can try to sort out lifts etc.
 
11th August
POP UP FRIDAY – 10am – (2) & (3)  – 9 miles – £7.
This will be a cracking 9 mile circular walk from Cranfield to The Forest Centre and back.  Rachel found a different route for this walk that has lovely quiet trails and amazing views.  We will stop half way for refreshments.  One way options available too.
